The Creators
Started by creative director Catherine "Cat" Ross and her filmmaker husband Marcus Ross, who is a third generation beekeeper, Clover Bloom is our most beautiful collaboration with each of us bringing our own creativity to the brand and the products we handcraft. We met surfing at Zuma Beach in Malibu, California in 2009 and got married at the Gardens in Birmingham, Alabama in 2019. So naturally everything we create has a bit of beach and botanical inspiration infused.

How are your products made?
Our products are handcrafted in the heart of the sunny South in Birmingham, Alabama. We develop, test and handcraft each product that we sell, using original formulas and fragrance blends. We use honey in our soaps that is sourced and produced by Marcus's family in Oklahoma.
What makes your products clean?
We rigorously research every ingredient that we use in our products, choosing the safest and cleanest selections. Clean is a broader term than natural because not everything that is natural is clean or healthy. We use a lot of natural and organic ingredients but when synthetics are cleaner or safer, like in the case of mica powders, we use the clean alternatives. We source ethically and from many small businesses. Our fragrances and flavors are naturally sourced.

What is the story behind your brand?
Our logo originates from Marcus's beekeeping grandfather who had it drawn more than 50 years ago. We updated it with our own typography and colors. Our name is inspired by the type of honey his family produces. Marcus shoots most of our lifestyle imagery on film cameras. Gotta love that Portra 400 and Fuji 200 film.
